Pursuant to the Energy Policy Act of 1992, the Power District is required to prepare and submit to the Western Area Power Administration an Integrated Resource Plan every five years.  The Power District’s next IRP must be submitted to WAPA by February 28, 2016.   The current Integrated Resource Planning criteria(10 CFR Part 905) went into effect May 1, 2000, and establish the IRP criteria.  The draft IRP prepared by staff complies with these criteria.  This draft IRP is now available for review by the Power District's customers.  The IRP is an important document that sets out the energy conservation and renewable energy development programs, including rebates, that the Power District will offer its customers over the next five years.  To receive a copy of the draft IRP call the office and one can be emailed to you.  If you have any questions or comments regarding the draft, please provide them in writing to the Power District by February 4, 2016.
