Lincoln County Power District No. 1 (LCPD) is a power district operating under Chapter 318 of the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS).  Under NRS 318, LCPD is charged with many obligations and responsibilities.  Paramount among these is to provide a public service for the benefit of all electric power consumers located within its service area, including those that may be served by other local distribution systems that purchase wholesale power from LCPD.  In order to carry out these statutory obligations, LCPD has established a mission statement to help guide the Board of Directors, management and employees of LCPD.  Our mission is:

To construct, operate and maintain a system which will provide our
customers with electric service in the most economical and efficient manner consistent with sound business practice.
